The first STLA/Nathaniel Faske Mentorship Award was presented in May 2018 to Zaida Espinosa of Seabrook, Texas. This young lady, with an endearing personality and a strong passion to succeed, was selected by a variety of our observers for her love of showing Texas Longhorn cattle and also her love of teaching and inspiring other young people to always be their best.
Zaida is a 2018 graduate of Clear Falls High School and at the time of this award was soon to start her first year of college at Clarendon College where she plans to pursue a degree in Agriculture Education.
Zaida was also a recipient of one of our STLA Youth Scholarships in May 2018.
