In 2018, the STLA/Dr. Joyce Kimble Scholarship was expanded to include two qualifying students.
One of our award winners for this year is an exceptional young lady, Tarah Moore, who grew up in the central Texas area. She has been in the show ring exhibiting cattle since she was a youngster and continues to work as a ring steward and and help crew some of the major shows.
At the time of this award, Tarah is a junior at Texas A&M University and has made the Dean’s List every semester. She is also heavily involved with various collegiate groups on campus. Tarah has plans to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Communications and Journalism in late 2019 and will pursue a career in marketing/communications.
Tarah also earned one our our STLA Youth Scholarships upon her graduation from high school in 2016.
