The STLA/Nathaniel Faske Mentorship Award was presented in May 2019 to Hannah Smith of Leander, Texas. This exceptional young woman has maintained scholastic excellence during her high-school career and still makes time for a wide assortment of extra-curricular activities which include caring for and training 9 show animals and holding down a part-time job.

This out-going 18-year old has a “stick-to-it” attitude about everything she touches, loves teaching and helping others,and never turns away from a difficult task. She’s a hard worker, a fast learner, and her warm personality always brings out the very best in everyone around her.

Hannah is a 2019 graduate of Clear Falls High School in Leander, Texas. After graduation she is headed to Blinn College in Bryan to start work toward a degree in Agricultureal Science – with plans to become an Ag Teacher in the future.

Hannah was also awarded one of our STLA Youth Scholarships in May 2019.
