Recognized by youngsters and adults alike as a born teacher and mentor, the STLA/Nathaniel Faske Mentorship Award was presented in June 2020 to Bronson Baker of Brenham, Texas.

He is one of our senior showmen and earned several championship awards in the showring during his high-school years. At the time of this award, he is a junior at Texas A&M University and contiues to stay involved with helping youngsters improve their showmanship skills. He was recently selected to be an instructor at summer showmanship camps, served a showmanship judge, and also produces fun “From the Barn” videos on Facebook to help other youth learn more about animal care and proper animal handling.

He was recently accepted into the Ag Sciences Teaching Program at TAMU and is pursuing a degree in Ag Education. He will receive his bachelors degree in 2022 and plans to continue his teaching work as a career.

Bronson was also named as one of our Youth Scholarship winners in May 2017 when he graduated from high school.
